There are three ways to download the mobile app:

Find the app in Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iPhones)

Click on the following link (using your phone)

Log in to the mobile app

When you open your mobile app for the first time, you'll need to set it up. Follow these simple steps to get started:

Go to your home screen (on your phone) and launch the app

Click on 'Money Account'

Enter your cellphone number (the number you used to open your Money Account)

A USSD message will be sent to your phone; press 1 to confirm

Enter your card PIN and then select 'verify'

Enter a Money Account App PIN and select 'Login' (do not forget this pin as you will need it to log in again!)

It is also recommended that you turn on notifications for the Old Mutual App.

Purchase airtime & electricity through the mobile app

Once you have downloaded the app and it's up and running, follow these easy steps to purchase your airtime and/or electricity:

Launch the Mobile App

Click on 'Money Account'

Log in using your details or fingerprint (if it has been set up)

Click on the 'Prepaid' icon on the homescreen

Select what you want to purchase

  • Airtime
  • SMS
  • Data
  • Electricity

To buy airtime, SMS and data

Select the cellphone number you want to recharge (it will default to your own but you can enter a different number or search from your contacts)

Select the network provider that you (or the other number) use

Select an amount/bundle

Click 'Buy'

Confirm your purchase

To buy electricity

Click 'Add Meter'

Fill in the following fields

  • Meter Number
  • Meter Name
  • Statement Reference

Click 'Confirm'
